sponsors add a referral program

#1

Post by badkitty » January 12th, 2024, 7:04 am

There are 2 new sponsors here and I would add them to my webmaster pages to catch affiliates who sign up off my referral link but they do not offer a webmaster referral program, how hard is that to implement to any sponsor site.

I make a good $800-$1200 a month off my referrals it is easy cash.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Totally agree. We have some affiliates that have picked up over 100 webmaster referals over the years and can now just sit back and wait for the money to come in

Its good for them and its good for us

CCBill lets you set one up in minutes and it's free.

CCbill's big advantage that made them so popular is their free webmaster program interface.

The only problem with ccbill is that they charge ridiculous fees. 15% - 17% compared to just 5% - 6% for sponsors that have their own merchant account

Thats why the bigger, more popular sites tend not to use 3rd party billers like ccbill

It is crazy how people keep accepting to pay those fees after all these years.

I support the idea of every program having a referral program.

Guess the ones without a referral program are not Ccbill programs.

The problem with a lot of sponsors is their affiliate program is usually on a differnt domain to their user sites (eg mypornsite.com and mypornsitecash.com or something similar).

A LOT of webmasters will click on your user referal links first (to check out the site) and then simply scroll to the bottom to find the Affiliates link. Usually this means you WONT get credited with the affiliate referral because they cant track cookies accross two different domains

A few years ago, we changed our system so that when you refer a user it sets BOTH the user referral cookie AND the affiliate referral cookie. In other words, a referred user is also a referred affiliate (and vice versa) so no matter how they get to our affiliate page, YOU STILL GET CREDITED FOR THE AFFILIATE REFERRAL

Since the change, our referred affiliates have shot up by about 250% (Infact nowdays about 70% of our new affiliates have been referred by another affiliate)
