8 states looking to pass anti-porn bills
Read this one
"Eight states are weighing anti-pornography bills that would force phone and tablet manufacturers like Apple and Samsung to automatically enable filters that censor nude and sexually explicit content.
The only way to disable the filters, according to the bills introduced this year, would be through passcodes. Providing such a passcode to a child would be forbidden, except when done by a parent."

Not so bad an idea put filters on devices where parents can keep kids away from porn sits, get off the porn sites to block kids.

this is a violation of rights. you enable it just like tv. they don't need to turn it on so you have issues turning it off. see how they try to make jobs? then they charge you for a tech to turn it off. maybe the user wants to be discreet. what if the tech ends up being a family member or some shit!
So now they want to involve device manufacturers in the porn-block bullcrap? So what, we'll have to provide these companies with valid ID and whatever they deem necessary to verify age so we can have the pass code to disable the filter? Great, let's hear it for invasion of privacy, data grab and identity theft risk. Also, if you ever used a library PC you know how flawed these filters are. All kinds of crap can get erroneously blocked besides porn.
