Judge makes ruling in Pornhub case

#1

Post by T.B.W » July 31st, 2022, 7:04 pm

This case is going to carry on after the Judge's decision

"In a setback for Visa in a case alleging the payment processor is liable for the distribution of child pornography on Pornhub and other sites operated by parent company MindGeek, a federal judge ruled that it was reasonable to conclude that Visa knowingly facilitated the criminal activity.

On Friday, July 29, U.S. District Judge Cormac Carney of the U.S. District Court of the Central District of California issued a decision in the Fleites v. MindGeek case, denying Visa’s motion to dismiss the claim it violated California’s Unfair Competition Law — which prohibits unlawful, unfair or fraudulent business acts and practices — by processing payments for child porn. (A copy of the decision is available at this link.)"

It will only make Visa more careful about processing for porn sites.

Here is the downside of this decision Visa (and mastercard) might sit back say do we want this headache, let us just not take any adult transaction period. This will kill our business fast if they do.

this is a great example of a lawyer aka judge breaks the rules in public and nobody is upset! how can a judge rule this way without a criminal investigation? what he was saying they are guilty of is a serious felony.

Breaking news a judge can throw you in jail if you piss him off or ask for you to to give him the watch on your wrist if you can not or refuse to make a payment he or she imposes on you. Judges can do anything they damn well please brotha.
