"Lauryn Overhultz, Melissa Roberto

Alec Baldwin has hired attorney Aaron S. Dyer of New York-based law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman after being targeted by multiple lawsuits for his involvement in the "Rust" set shooting, Fox News Digital has confirmed.

The news comes after Baldwin was targeted by lawsuits filed by script supervisor Mamie Mitchell and gaffer Serge Svetnoy."

He had to and a good decision too.

I have no idea what Alec Baldwin means with this statement.

"George Stephanopoulos asking why he fired the gun when it wasn't in the script and Baldwin replied, "The trigger wasn't pulled. I didn't pull the trigger."

So he never pulled the trigger? "No, no, no, no," Baldwin answered. "I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them, never." But there was no explanation beyond that."

I think he means he would never intentionally point a loaded gun at an individual and pull the trigger, my thinking on what he meant by that.

I read abut his interview and my first thoughts were where are the lawyers, rule number one (an I am not pretending to be a lawyer) is tell your client not to talk. Second point only going by what is reported in the article below, he said "he only pulled back the hammer of the gun — by the direction of Hutchins — and when he let go of the hammer, the gun went off" Ifind inetresting.

"Alec Baldwin told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos in his first sit-down interview on Thursday night that he doesn't feel guilty about the accidental shooting that happened on the set of his movie "Rust" that led to the death of its cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and the injury of the film's director Joel Souza.

"Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can't say who that is, but I know it's not me," Baldwin told Stephanopoulos.

On October 21, a gun held by Baldwin discharged while he was rehearsing a scene of the Western film, killing Hutchins and injuring Souza.

Baldwin told Stephanopoulos that he never pulled the trigger of the gun; he only pulled back the hammer of the gun — by the direction of Hutchins — and when he let go of the hammer, the gun went off."

Exactly right he should hire Mark Geragos the famous lawyer.

Alec Baldwin has reportedly deleted one of his two his Twitter account

"Alec Baldwin has deleted one of his two Twitter accounts following his tell-all interview with George Stephanopoulos about the shooting incident that took place on the set of the movie "Rust."

The actor had two verified Twitter accounts, one of which he was much more active on and was the one he used to previously issue statements about the fatal shooting incident that took place on the set of the indie-western movie in October. However, following his interview last week, it seems the star has completely deleted the account labeled @AlecBaldwin. However, his account @AlecBaldwln____ remains live with the latest tweet being from October 19. Prior to that, it was only active in June.

It’s unclear why the actor chose this time to delete the account. Representatives for Baldwin did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment."

What he says is not under oath so how can it be wrong to talk to reporters

Being under oath is not important, any attorney will tell you, keep your mouth shut when under investigation or you may be under investigation.

Only thing why people talk is to get public opinion on their side, but legally it is a bad idea.

There is an update to this story on yahoo.com this morning.

"“After OSHA’s very comprehensive safety investigation involving numerous interviews and review of documents, it has concluded that production willfully failed to follow national gun safety standards, which caused this tragedy,” Reed’s lawyer Jason Bowles told Deadline on Wednesday. “OSHA found that Hannah Gutierrez Reed was not provided adequate time or resources to conduct her job effectively, despite her voiced concerns,” the Albuquerque, New Mexico-based attorney noted.

In the damning report, Rust Movie Productions LLC and its management were hit with a maximum $136,793 fine by the New Mexico Occupational Health and Safety Bureau for its “willful and serious” violation of workplace safety procedures during the filming of the indie Western.

“Critically, OSHA also determined that production failed to call Hannah in to perform her armorer duties and inspect the firearm right before its use in the impromptu scene with Baldwin,” Bowles continued in his remarks for his client. “As we have stated before, had anyone from Production called Hannah in back into the church before the scene to consult with her, this tragedy would have been prevented. Hannah has also reached out to OSHA recently in an effort to provide her suggestions for changes and improvement of safety standards on sets to avoid a tragic incident in the future.”"

It can not be all good news for Alec Baldwin he owns part or has some business in the production company form what I saw.
