bad news from my doctors office today I have diabetes

I got a call from my doctors office this morning the blood work is in and they said to go see them this week, I have diabetes. I went last week because I am always thirsty and have a very dry mouth in the mornings, I thought is was a simple thing where I sleep with my mouth open ( which i do my girlfriend always tells me that).

The other thing which never occurred to me could be related is I have lost a lot of weight in the last year, like my face, arms and legs look really skinny compared to what they were. So they say I need to go get pills, is this dangerous or will the pills help me stop losing weight.

No doctor but if you do not take the pills it probably will kill you in the end. Diabetics I know all take pill.

I have friends that got this diagnosis, then changed their life style, then went back and tested negative.
