I dated a gal she was diabetic from birth, she had a little gadget she would have to calculate how many calories she was about to eat, and inject her meds into that thing. She was a real nice person but wanted kids and I was not even thinking of settling down at 22 to talk kids so we drifted apart, we still talk on facebook once in a a while.

My drug store has free testing every Friday, i might go get mine checked this week. You know why, unrelated to this thread I talked to a friend on Saturday and his father is going in today to get 2 of his toes amputated because they have started to decay from his diabetes. That shit is scary.

Type 2 is usually brought on by lifestyle choices such as diet, etc. It can be controlled by making appropriate changes and medications if necessary. An once of prevention is your pound of cure there.

Type 1, childhood diabetes, is a different story.

Are both types just as bad for you or is one less dangerous

I looked this up only reason to say type 1 is worse is because you have it form birth and it affects your organs sooner than when you get type 2 later in your life.
