auto SSL installed (AGAIN) why?

Post by Everlpn » September 15th, 2020, 7:04 am

My hosting company provides SSL for every domain on your account by default. I think that is a good thing since Google likes SSL sites. But why is it I get emails from the server saying "Auto SSL installed" on domains that already have it installed ,is someone taking it off or trying to hack my sites?

You can usually turn that off depending on the host. Auto SSL is a cron that takes self assigned and expired/almost expired certs and replaces them with new ones.

And here I was a few years back paying $70 a year for an SSL cert from my registrar.
