LA County might bring back indoor mask mandates.

Here we go another Christmas with masks and shit rules.

Los Angeles County may soon reimpose indoor mask mandates as COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to rise in the area.

During a press conference Thursday, LA County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said the largest county in the United States had reached "medium" COVID-19 transmission levels and will require face coverings if it reaches the "high" category."

Hospitals are full now but not all beds are because of Covid cases, other respiratory viruses are in play, this story was quite eye opening.

During the lock downs and work from home there was less transmission of the flu but now with people going about their daily lives the flu is back this season, not too surprising.

No surprise it's spreading again, a few friends have it and Christmas parties will not help, stay safe.

BA.5 is still the dominant variant from what I have seen. Everyone in my immediate family and quite a few friends have now had one form or other of Covid, the only two who have been spared so far are me and the dragon.

This is not good news for the start of 2023

https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/new-c ... reveal-why

"THE NEW OMICRON SUBVARIANT XBB.1.5: WHAT YOU MUST KNOW NOW

First, this subvariant is immuno-evasive. It's not as susceptible to natural immunity or vaccines — and it is very contagious, health professionals say.

In a phone interview with Fox News Digital, Fox News medical contributor Dr. Marc Siegel explained that there are actually two subvariants at play: XBB and XBB.1.5."
