They fired the rep(s) , have no reps and are not responding to affiliates within a short time. Short time during weekdays is the same day, anything longer means they are losers.
My experience over time with how sponsors end up failing.

Also things like making the minimum payouts stupid high or less updates than before/no more updates.
Bad support is just a sign of the times across the industry

It seems to be getting worse every year
The strong ones advertise , take Pepsi for example, who has not heard of Pepsi, they still advertise all the time to show they are happening.
Being visible is half the battle , just the same for free sites having lots of back links is good for sales.

Visa, Mastercard, Pepsi, Coke, airlines, insurance companies, banks are on this, they advertise all the time. Never let the competition get a head of them.
Is there a lot of sponsor failures happening in this industry?

The weak closing up is a blessing for all of us. Some just have passed their sell by date and are lingering on for re-bills. Not providing affiliate support, no updated affiliate promotional tools, not site refreshes. They are just dead wood floating on top of the water.

So many reps unemployed today, they used to be making good money 5 years ago.
Any one with a website and ccbill account can call them selves a sponsor, you have to be careful who you partner up with that will pay you.
It's a tough year for a lot of sponsors, I have reps telling em they are not getting paid on time. No name calling because they tell me this stuff off the record.
Too many running on empty and surviving from one month to the next, that is how it really is out there.
