[BUSINESS] Age Check Integration...

#1

Post by rudimentalcom » June 10th, 2019, 5:51 pm

Hey everyone (especially people across the pond in the UK),

I thought I would make a separate thread since I noticed a few of your PM’d me about getting a lot of your sites fully compliant with AgeID, etc.

This is definitely a time to make sure you’re compliant, especially in the UK, but I have a feeling that some people across the pond need the same kind of help, sometime soon, too.

I just recently integrated other solutions such as 1Account and AgePass on some high-level properties. There are definitely a lot of moving parts in this process, so if theres any of you that need this help, PM me directly.

Cheers…

I'm not certain if we have to do this being in America, any low down on it.
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

Yes you do need to be concerned if you have EU visitors to your sites or EU affiliates to your program.

How many countries do you anticipate will require this in the next year?

Not a fan for a few reasons, I'll only add it if I'm forced to.
Also Mindgeek runs AgeID, don't give in and give them all of that data. Just block UK traffic when it happens….

If you absolutely have to use it, use AgeChecked, NEVER use AgeID.

Yes, most likely, because they're making it so that you have to have a plain warning page with no adult content for the Age check..
But.. Google will know about it, too, so who knows.

I also heard that a lot of people in the UK aren't going to worry about it at first and are saying that it's mostly for the huge traffic sites first, then the rest if they have to.

It'll probably be delayed 6 months for legal issues
