using frames for sites ---- yes---no????

I am learning as I go along and someone suggested I use 'frames' to build my sites, is this a yes, no or what in your opinion.

iframe are great if you are using multiple platforms.

iframes are easy to implement but antivirus soft wares seem to raise flogs and /or block them
