No thanks last time I paid some dude $200 to do work he disappeared, only way I will work with a writer again is if they have a site, let me know when your site is up.

Yeah, understandable, although I'm not asking for money upfront, especially from established forum members.

Here's a recent sample of an ongoing optimization for a client's porn paysite.

I've started working on it in November of last year, when they've had a great product, unique and full of potential, but not enough visits. In three months, thanks to the changes applied throughout the site, I've managed to increase the number of keywords they are ranking for by:
Top 3 SE results - From an all-time high of 16 to 76
Top 3-10 SE results - From ATH of 50 to 73
Top 10-20 SE results - From ATH of 48 to 133

Their traffic quadrupled, bounce rate dropped to 41%, and average visit time increased to 9+ mins.

It's still a work in progress, I'm expecting to double their top 10 keywords and traffic they have at the moment in the next 2 months.
