Well it is sort of self explanatory, not hurting anyone and if anything it tries to show good faith to anybody visiting the site that it is an adult site.

... it's an option for pretending to keep out minors ... but there are better ways to try to keep out minors if that's what you're asking

some sites try to keep out minors

or give the appearance that they are trying to keep out minors ...

others don't
